investigating the construction of race, narrative voids, and contemporary impact of media & tech on society

Solving problems requires understanding their origins, and making a more equitable world requires identifying where we and others have power to shape it. As a researcher, I seek to contribute rigorous scholarship shaped by power analysis and grounded in historical context to hold decision-makers accountable to the needs of marginalized communities. Grounded in my passion for racial justice work, I have pursued professional experience in strategic research project design, narrative intervention, investigation of people and institutions, and political education. As a continuation of this past work, I am currently hoping to pursue further study of how economic and political elites have deployed scientific practices and communication to obfuscate and justify racialized populations' inequitable material, social, and political conditions.
